With deep family roots in law, mining, and resources, our founders bring a practical and intuitive understanding of industry dynamics. Having lived and worked in the sector, they identified a critical friction point: mining companies struggle to rapidly source reliable talent, while skilled professionals lack a clear pathway to flexible, project-based work.

Meet Our Founders
Oliver Jackson brings senior experience across clinical healthcare, WHS, compliance, risk management, contractor management, injury management and incident response across high-risk mining, construction and offshore environments. As a Registered Nurse and HSE professional, his academic and practical foundation includes a Bachelor of Nursing (BN), Graduate Certificate in Clinical Nursing (GradCert ClinNurs), Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety, Certificate III in Mines Emergency Response and Rescue, and ICAM Investigation certification.
This combined expertise directly supports True North People’s contractor management, HSE and risk governance, incident response, client and stakeholder management, and practical oversight of remote workforce requirements.
Bas Jackson brings legal, commercial, and operational leadership to Western Australia’s resources sector. His professional foundation spans a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) and legal qualifications (LLB/GDLP), alongside admission as an Australian Lawyer (currently non-practising). In the field, his capability is anchored by a Schedule 26 Statutory Supervisor appointment, alongside specialised leadership in operational delivery and cultural heritage compliance. Bas works closely with Traditional Owners to build trusted stakeholder relationships.
